We missed the point in His teachings, but David so eloquently and tenderly makes the points clear.  He is so right on in what he says about Christianity in America. Book Tour Review of The Twilight Gospel: The Spiritual Roots of Stephenie Meyer's Vampire Saga by Dave Roberts

When I received my copy of The Twilight Gospel to write a review for the Litfuse Group I scanned through it thinking that although it is only 155 pages long, that it was going to be a slow read. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised when I actually began reading it.

My Review:
The Twilight Gospel by Dave Roberts is quit an insightful read and I highly recommend that parents read his book and use it as a basis of discussing the Twilight Saga Series (Sneek Peek pages). Robert’s discusses many if not all of the subject matter presented in The Twilight Saga series. It was a fast and enlightening read as Dave Robert's wrote about friendships, self-image, beauty, forgiveness, love, awkwardness, fear, the dead, cults, money, sex, sacrifice, violence, power and the unborn. He compared fact from myth and showed us through scripture, what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad.

UPDATE On “The Choice” by Suzanne Woods Fisher

     Last month on February 8th I wrote a review for the book The Choice by Suzanne Woods Fisher. If you have read my review you would know that I loved this book and I have just received news that it is #8 on the CBA March Fiction bestseller list and has held it’s position on the ECPA  fiction bestseller list for February and March, woohoo! This is a must read, I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

Busy Mom’s Bible

     I received a free copy of The Busy Mom’s Bible  (NIV) to review from Zondervan Bibles about two weeks ago. It is constructed very well and the two tone pink leather like cover is very feminine and attractive. It is small enough to put in your purse or a tote bag and take it with you anywhere. I always carry a Bible in my purse so that I can read it while I’m waiting for an appointment, or if I am delayed for any reason.

      If you don’t have time for a full devotion, that’s no problem because this Bible is designed for a one minute, a five minute or a ten minute devotion. Not only that, The Busy Mom’s Bible  was designed to have devotional inserts by devotional need such as A Woman of Character, Overcoming Obstacles, Healthy Living, Your Emotions, Your Relationships, and Family Ties to name just a few. I have truly enjoyed reading this Bible for my devotions because the design and layout is to make our lives as women easier to have a daily devotion.

     I am disappointed that Zondervan Bibles do not offer The Busy Mom's Bible in the KJV or NKJV. I do hope they will consider these versions as I am a KJV gal. However, I highly recommend The Busy Mom's Bible.

Curriculum Review From The Whole Word Publishers

     I received a copy of The book of Obabiah with Geometric Designs and Three Fonts in exchange to write a review giving my honest opinion of the curriculum.

My son used this copy work book for two reasons, first, for verse memorization and second, for improving his hand righting skills. The book has three different font styles for each verse which makes it nice for writing the verse each day. He wasn’t as bored with writing each day. By writing a verse each day, it really helped with his memorization of the verse.
     I also like the fact that kindergartners can use these copy books also. I use myself for verse memorization, by writing it down throughout the week really helps with my retai of the verse.
